CHARLOTTE MOORE FOR SUPERVISOR

EDUCATION - Roanoke County has one of the finest school systems in the state and Charlotte would like to see continued cooperation between the Board of Supervisors and the School Board.  Charlotte would also extend that cooperation to the community, working  to develop programs that would enhance both the schools and education outside the school building walls.

ENVIRONMENT - A dedicated outdoorsman, Charlotte cares deeply about retaining the natural beauty of the Cave Spring District.  Issues facing the Board of Supervisors need to take into greater consideration the effect on the surrounding area.  Charlotte would be and advocate on the Board for the protection of the view-shed, green space and the impact of potential residential and commercial growth on the environment.

ECONOMIC GROWTH - The health of a dynamic community is evident in its growth.  The task of the Board of Supervisors is to manage growth by evaluating the potential pros and cons of each request, both commercial and residential.  How does the project fit within the surrounding landscape?  Does it put an undue burden on our roads, schools and public safety departments?  Does a new commercial project offer quality jobs to our local residents?  Charlotte's voice needs to be heard on behalf of the Cave Spring District in these matters.
